GES DIRECTORS GET RELIEF AFTER THE DONATION OF 11 ISUZU PICKUPS.

The upper west Region Education directorates get relief after receiving 11 Isuzu pickups donated by GETFUND to be distributed to the entire 11 district and municipal assemblies in the Region. Some few years ago the District and Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service in the upper West Region were using weak vehicles which make supervision difficult to the Directors in their various districts. The Directors cry to the Government and other benevolent organizations to come to their Aid as they are well not resource to do their work effectively. It is in line with their appeal the Government of Ghana head and has come to their aid by providing them with 11 Isuzu pickups to aid in their work. On Friday 20th March, 2020 the Upper West Regional Minister Dr.Hafiz Bin Sali handed over the Isuzu pickups to the Acting Regional Director by charging them to use the vehicles for the intended purpose. Miss CISSE CROWNED AS MISS AMARABA 2020

Miss Cisse crowned as the new Miss Amaraba queen of 2020  As part of the SRC Week celebration, it's an event dubbed "Miss Amaraba/Artiste night" which occurred on the Friday 13th March 2020 at the auditorium of UDS-NYC. The night was full of excitements, entertainment and sorrows as some of the contestants of the Miss Amaraba lost the right to the Crown. The program started at 10:30pm with Gadafi and Adel been the MC's for the night.  The judges for the night were introduced to the audience and the first display of the beautiful contestants got the whole crowd applauding them as they exhibited their dance skills in a choreography, they also showed cased their cat walk abilities in African prints which had the audience cheering the more for their favourite contestants. Inusah Fuseini, has echoed the president voice of "Ghana beyond Aid" stating that Ghanaians should not attribute it to only the NPP's administration but should see it as a collective effort to end foreign aid. Following the recent news of the escaped of a three-footer container of Salmonella contaminated gizzards into the Ghanaian market, a senior lecturer and microbiologist in the Department of Biotechnology of the University for Development Studies, Dr. Courage Kosi Setsoafia Saba, has conducted a preliminary survey to assess the quality and safety of gizzards from some retail outlets in the Tamale metropolis of the northern region of Ghana. According to Dr. Saba, the series of calls he had received from close relatives amidst the growing fear of the consumption of gizzard by the general public was what instigated this preliminary survey to ascertain the microbiological quality of this part of birds that have been a delicacy to some Ghanaians. Coach and a member of the Leadership Growth and Alumni Network Impact of the Lead For Ghana (LFG), Mr. Livingstone Delali Agbo has said that graduates from the University for Development Studies top graduates from other universities with a huge number of applications for their fellowship programme. This, he said at a workshop held at the Tamale campus of the University for Development Studies to introduce the activities of the organization to present participants. SRC Afrocentric Week Celebration handicapped in objectives

There is a saying that everything happens for a reason. But that cannot be said about the just ended Afrocentric Week Celebration organized by the Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Nyankpala campus of the University for Development Studies. According to some students from this campus, they were not clear of what constituted the decision of their leaders to roll out the Afrocentric week celebration. This, was revealed in a survey conducted to evaluate and assess the Afrocentric week celebration where 62.9% of students who responded to the survey indicated that they had no knowledge of the objective of the program. According to this number of respondents, the council (SRC) failed to provide a theme for the Afrocentric week celebration. They added that the maiden program should have been introduced formerly at a gathering of students with the objective(s) clearly spelled. However, they were disappointed to have witnessed what they could described as one man’s inau
