Miss CISSE CROWNED AS MISS AMARABA 2020

Miss Cisse crowned as the new Miss Amaraba queen of 2020 

As part of the SRC Week celebration, it's an event dubbed "Miss Amaraba/Artiste night" which occurred on the Friday 13th March 2020 at the auditorium of UDS-NYC. The night was full of excitements, entertainment and sorrows as some of the contestants of the Miss Amaraba lost the right to the Crown.

The program started at 10:30pm with Gadafi and Adel been the MC's for the night.  The judges for the night were introduced to the audience and the first display of the beautiful contestants got the whole crowd applauding them as they exhibited their dance skills in a choreography, they also showed cased their cat walk abilities in African prints which had the audience cheering the more for their favourite contestants.

The contestants were later on invited on stage to give a presentation on the project they will wish to embark on if crowned as queen. A lot of exciting and sensitive projects were been presented such as Sanitation, Talent and entrepreneurship skills, inferiority complex, Advocate for crash helmet, Open defecation, Advocacy of depression and suicide, Skin bleaching, Menstrual Cycle and pain and Drug abuse were the projects of our contestants ranging from contestant number 1 to 9 respectively.

The night got more exciting as some artistes such as Olatunde, Duty Rock and among others gave the crowd their best performance and kept them jamming through out their performances.

 The night even got more exciting,  interesting and the hall was lit with fire as the guest artiste for the night FAMEYE mounted the stage, the fan base of Fameye and the crowd couldn't withhold their joy but had to jam to his performance as he gave out his best.

After his performance the contestants came up stage to fuel up the fire ignited by Fameye as they exhibited their talent in the form of drama and dance, some individuals from the audience were awarded for their active participation in the Afrocentric week celebration; Mr. Ramid, miss Erica and miss Samira were the awardees.

Our ladies were also awarded based on their performance, miss Poka was adjudged the miss discipline, miss Rachael was adjudged miss cat walk, the miss talent award went to contestant 7 miss Rukaya,  miss eloquent was adjudged to miss Cisse, and miss Cheryl was adjudged miss correalism. After the awards the judges listed their best 5 contestants among which were; Cheryl, Rukaya ,  Poka, Cisse and Rachael.  The hall became hotter and heart beats increased as the judges were all set to declare the winners and who was to be crowned as the new Miss Amaraba 2020.

3rd runner up for the 2020 Miss Amaraba contest was adjudged to Miss Poka, Miss Cheryl was crowned as the 2nd runner up and she took home a burner and an electric kettle as well, whilst the first runner up who also took home a burner, an electric kettle and some hampers from the sponsors of the event was adjudged to contestant number 7 Miss Rukaya.

The new queen, the new face of UDS-NYC, the new queen of the Miss Amaraba contest 2020 who took home a Hisense refrigerator, a burner, an electric kettle and many other hampers was adjudged to contestant number 9 Miss Cisse!!!!
