HEALTHCARE SERVICE PROVIDERS LACKS COMMUNICATION KNOWLEDGE

The law maker for the people of Tamale North, Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini once made an assertion that, ‘‘communication is the world today, nothing gets done in today’s world without communication. Let the doctors brag but let them communicate wrongly about the prescriptions and about the risks that they do and the whole world would be in jeopardy…’’. Unfortunately, my experienced at the Tamale West Hospital says otherwise. On Wednesday, 13 th May, 2020, a friend suffered from chest pains and so found it difficult to grasp air. We rushed him to the hospital for treatment, I must say we were attended to with urgent attention at first sight. I am neither a nurse nor a doctor but I condemned the mode of communication used on the patience and those who brought the patience. The doctor wanted to ask for our friend’s medical history but our friend finds it difficult to grasp air to breathe in and out but it seems the learned doctor didn’t notice and became fury on the patience. Dr. COURAGE SABA MAKES A DONATION TO HIS ALMA MATER

A wise man once said "wherever you go and whatever ends you pursue, you must always fulfill the trust reposed in you by your nation, your parents and your alma mater." Dr. Courage K. S. Saba , an alumnus and a lecturer of the University for Development Studies has made a fulfilment of the above quote by donating to his alma mater a hand washing device necessary for fighting the novel coronavirus pandemic. The Senior Lecturer and Microbiologist at the Department of Biotechnology for sometime has been in the news through his invention, SabaWash . SabaWash is a hand washing device which employs the use of one's feet in regulating the dispensing and flow of a liquid soap and water respectively. COVID -19 :UDS LECTURER DONATES TO THE LABORATORY DEPARTMENT OF TAMALE CENTRAL HOSPITAL

In the early hours of today, the inventor of SabaWash, a Senior Lecturer and a Microbiologist at the Department of Biotechnology of the University for Development Studies, Dr. Courage Kosi Setsoafia Saba made a donation of his hand washing device, SabaWash to the Laboratory Department of the Tamale Central Hospital. According to him, Tamale Central Hospital was chosen as the first point of donation due to a long term research collaboration he has with the hospital particularly the Laboratory Department. He therefore considers his donation as a sign of gratitude and appreciation to the hospital for the support they have always given him. Speaking to Radio Grin 94.7FM news reporter, Dr. Saba mentioned that the fight against COVID-19 is a shared responsibility and as such donating an effective hand washing device like the SabaWash  is his own way of supporting the fight.
