UDS GRADUATES TOPPED LIST OF RECRUITED APPLICANTS ADMITTED INTO THE LFG FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM IN 2019.

Coach and a member of the Leadership Growth and Alumni Network Impact of the Lead For Ghana (LFG), Mr. Livingstone Delali Agbo has said that graduates from the University for Development Studies top graduates from other universities with a huge number of applications for their fellowship programme. This, he said at a workshop held at the Tamale campus of the University for Development Studies to introduce the activities of the organization to present participants. The workshop hosted individuals who are currently offering their mandatory national service with the school and students particularly those who are about completing their four-year programme in the university.

Mr. Livingstone Delali Agbo, who is an alumnus from the Wa campus of the University for Development Studies mentioned that he is always overwhelmed with excitements to see most of the applications from applicants from his alma mater. Well, I am mostly not surprised since that is what we are taught for our third-trimester field practical programme (TTFPP)- he added. He reiterated community development as one of the focus of Lead For Ghana as an organization which he believes is not different from the objectives of the community studies which students from UDS undergo.

Mr. Livingstone Delali Agbo has said that graduates from the University for Development Studies top graduates from other universities with a huge number being admitted into the LFG fellowship programme in 2019. Out of the 30 admitted candidates, 10 of them were UDS graduates and are currently serving in the Northern Region of Ghana.

Lead For Ghana (LFG) is a nationwide movement of leaders founded in 2013 with the purpose of funding opportunity to all children in Ghana.  Lead For Ghana since its inception has been recruiting the best and brightest graduates and young professionals to teach Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, and English in low-income communities in the country. These recruiters who are otherwise referred to as Fellows undergo a 2-year leadership development. After the 2-year of fellowship, these fellows are inducted into the prestigious LFG Alumni Network.

Again, in sharing his experience with Grin News, Mr. Livingstone Delali  mentioned that he has always considered himself a proud alumnus of the school considering the fact he is among the pioneers of the fellowship programme. In 2016, I happened to be the only UDS graduate that was enrolled for this programme and has since been maintained as one of the coaches for this wonderful initiative- he disclosed.

He admonished present participants who were all products and students of UDS to ride on the advantages that TTFPP offers them and seized opportunities like that of the Lead For Ghana Fellowship programme.
