ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH OF UDS-NYC SETS TO LAUNCH PAX MINI WEEK CELEBRATION

Pax mini week is just a few days of the week designated for Pax members to come together once again to communion,fellowship and break bread together with the common goal of  identifying ourselves with each other,learn more about our faith and strengthening the bond of love.

During this 4days from Thursday(20th February)- Sunday(23rd February) will entail the following with the theme
Theme:Morality,still an essential tool in the 21st century.

Day 1:(Thursday) Luanching of Pax mini week and talk on the theme.
We shall have a facilitator to enlighten us on the need for morality even in our present day....in our dressing,relationships,spiritual lives,academic life and anything that has to do with morality.
Do we still need morality? Is going to be the talk of the day.

Day 2:(Friday) Inter-Societal bible quiz on current affairs,the gospel of Mark and doctrines of the church. Which society wins? 🤔🤓🤓🤓🤓

There will be talent show and choreography, do you have a talent you so desire to showcase? Then grab this opportunity and come exhibit your talent to the glorification of the Lord.

Day 3:(saturday) when was the last time you "shiiieeee jama? In the morning there will be an exciting time of jogging with aerobics accompanied with exciting music, your health is your worth.

While the afternoon session will be a football match between Pax(catholic students) and Pensa(Pentecost students). Guess what? ladies are included with Humble Bruce as captain and Anko Zita as the goal keeper it's going to be an exciting day.

All the fun of Day 2 shall be climaxed in a grand style as a powerful and life transforming movie will be displayed at the church premises .

Day 4:(Sunday) Shall be the climax of all  the fun and entertainment and it shall be done with praises and worship by the Celestial Voices before mass begins as we give thanks to God for the success of the program also the church shall rep in their  various African wear.

NUGS TO CREATE A TAXI STATION ON NYANKPALA CAMPUS

The National Union of Ghana Students(NUGS) of the University for Development Studies (UDS) intends to create a taxi station on campus. The station is intended to solve the issue of difficulties in transportation especially during weekends and in late hours of the night incase of emergencies. Mr. Ramid the Local NUGS president disclosed the intention of the council on Friday February 7 2020 on Radio Grin's "Time with the SRC". According to Mr. Ramid the council shall register and give tags to all taxis that will be at the station also address and contacts of drivers shall be collected for easy access to them incase of emergencies and incase a student leaves his item(s) in the car, also commercial vehicles that do not have a registered tag shall not be allowed to enter campus and shall not also be board by students as it will make students feel safe and secured .
