GHANA BEYOND AID IS A COLLECTIVE EFFORT TO END FOREIGN AID AND SHOULD NOT BE ATTRIBUTED TO ONLY THE NPP ADMINISTRATION - LAWYER INUSAH FUSEINI




The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central Hon. Inusah Fuseini, has echoed the president voice of "Ghana beyond Aid" stating that Ghanaians should not attribute it to only the NPP's administration but should see it as a collective effort to end foreign aid.

"It is a collective responsibilities of Lecturers, students and all well meaning Ghanaians to see Ghana beyond aid even though it cannot be achieve in four (4) or eight (8) years" he said.

The Honourable  Member of Parliament made the above statement at the launch and Seminar of this year's  SRC week celebration of the University for Development Studies Nyankpala Campus on the theme: Tertiary Education a major determinant in building a Ghana free from Aid through youth empowerment and good governance.

Her Excellency Zeinab Mohammed Denderi, who is the first female SRC president in the four campuses of UDS used the opportunity to call on the MP, Government and other agencies to come to the aid of students of NYC as water situation in Nyankpala community is unbearable. "Students sometimes would have to wait for about a week before they can get water which is a worrying situation" she said.

The guest speaker Hon Inusah Fuseini Abdulai advice the students that life is like a scene  on stage and you have to take control of the stage, the position you are occupying, you have to testify for the position by giving out your best, he concluded by saying that nobody has ever succeeded in life without hard work.

He also added that students should  aspire to be like their lecturers as they are introduced as Doctors, professors, etc. He also made mention that they should reminisce that we as human beings renew ourselves by replacement, and that they should be aware that their lecturers will be eliminated as time goes on and are they prepared to take that mantle? He questioned.

He encourage the students not to be discouraged by the background they come  from but they should be driven by a passion, and he cited an example with himself as a son of a butcher but has graduated as a lawyer and a member of parliament and that it is possible for them to succeed.

The seminar was well attended by students, Lecturers, head of departments and vice dean of students affairs Dr. Raphael Adu Gyamfi who represented the Principal of the Campus Prof. George Nyarko.
