 Early this morning it was brought to the attention of Grin News team that there is a recorded incidence of COVID-19 at the University's clinic on Nyankpala campus. The team in an effort to authenticate the rumor  making wave on the Nyankpala campus of the University for Development Studies engaged the Vice Dean of Students in a phone conversation. According to the Vice Dean of Students, Dr. Linda Dari the rumor(s) that there is a reported case of COVID-19 at the clinic is untrue. "To the best of my knowledge, there's no incidence of COVID-19 at the clinic. You can ask or send your team to verify for themselves at the clinic" - Dr. Linda Dari We wish to advise all students to desist from the spread of unverifiable information and to stay calm whilst adhering to the protocols as stipulated by authorities.     As we draw closer to the 2020 polls with just 11 days ahead, the Ghana Catholic Bishop’s Conference launched a commission “ Justice and Peace ” to aid in the peace campaign before, during and after the polls. The Justice and Peace Commission under the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese organized a Town Hall meeting at the Yagaba-Kubori constituency on the 26 th November 2020. The meeting was held at the Assemblies of God Auditorium with representatives from the office of the Bishop Most. Rev. Fr. Alfred Agyenta, the National Commission for Civic Education(NCCE), Electoral Commission(EC), BNI, Political Parties and chiefs of the constituency. “The role of parliamentarians and local authorities in participatory Governance for community development” was the theme for the Town Hall meeting. Mr. Valerius is an IT enthusiast and a youth activist his currently a resource person for the Sharing Education Learning for Life Ghana(SELL Ghana) his also a lead facilitator who facilitates media ethics and ethical hacking at the ongoing MaD Tech Kult. Even though the pandemic has change our ways of life Mr. Valerius still haven't given up on his mission of empowering the youth. Congratulations to you sir, you truly deserve it.

  Mr. Clement Larbi popularly known as the Mover was adjudged the most influential student in photography at the Northern Tertiary Awards 2020. Mr. Larbi who is known for his good work in photography was awarded on the 21st November 2020 as an honor for his works and role in the media space.  The great Union Hall , the descendants of the great zagidi were awarded as the BEST HALL at the Northern Tertiary Awards 2020. The self acclaimed best hall of UDS NYC which happens to be Jeddah hall should now bow with respect to worship the great zagidi and his descendants. As a U-Mate or former U-Mate you should be proud of your hall. Yahaya Abdul-Yahab, a student of the UDS Nyankpala Campus was adjudged the most influential Student in Radio at the Northern Tertiary Student Awards 2020 . The Grin Breakfast Show host was honored for his good works and impact he makes through his voice.  Social Change Communication student has actually proven to be a change maker by practicing what has been taught in lecture halls.  Congratulations to you Mr. Yahaya Abdul Wahab  

On the 22nd of February, 2020, Mohammed Luqman stage name Optional King was pronounced winner of TV3 mentor reloaded. It was an amazing day for a lot of young men and women in Tamale and especially Dakpem Fong where this humble guy hails from. The title convinced many young men and women from humble homes that hard work pays and that if one works hard, he/she can achieve his/her desired dream. A lot of us, young men and women could not sleep that night out of ecstasy, for the fame Optional King got and the prize attached to this victory, a two-bedroom apartment. The dream was that we could also win such a prize with the fame attached. We can still thank TV3 for the fame he has had for winning the show but can we say same of the house promised? It is a big fat NO. The promise was nothing but a hoax (lie).
