WHO SITS ON THE UDS-NYC SRC PRESIDENTIAL SEAT TOMORROW?

  In accordance to Chapter Eight(8), article 15 clause 1 of the reviewed Constitution of the SRC of the University for Development Studies, "A student elected as an Executive Officer shall hold office for a term of one(1) academic year".

Therefore, a time has come for the students of the University for Development Studies to decide who leads them in the 2022/2023 academic year. The second trimester of each academic year has been designated for lots of activities including the SRC Week Celebration, Hall week celebrations, and General elections for various associations, halls, and the SRC.



Ever since the inception of the institution in May 1992, elections have been held in deciding Executive Officers for the academic years by students. 

Before last year's SRC/NUGS Election, a well-known student Pastor, known for his influence and his gift as a Prophet, gave a Prophecy about the election of which he made mentioned that Mr. Ansah Owusu Elijah shall win the elections despite the slim chances he had in the sight of most political analyst on campus, but to the amusement of the entire student populace, Mr. Ansah Owusu Elijah was elected the SRC President after the run-off elections.



As we prepare to decide who leads us in this year's SRC Election Prophet Eben Nti Boateng on Wednesday 15th June 2022 gave a Prophetic word with regards to the elections. He also gave a prophecy about the Union Hall elections which happened on Sunday 19th June 2022 and to the astonishment of students once again his word of Prophecy came to pass.

According to Prophet Eben Nti Boateng, this year's election is hovering over the heads of two major aspirants. He however stated that the outcome of the election is also dependent on the weather condition on the day of election.


He further admonishes that, he speaks as per the revelation he receives from God and therefore do not in his own capacity or influence solicits nor shows support to any candidate. He however wishes all candidates the very best and besieged them to let peace reign despite the outcome of the election results.

NUGS TO CREATE A TAXI STATION ON NYANKPALA CAMPUS

The National Union of Ghana Students(NUGS) of the University for Development Studies (UDS) intends to create a taxi station on campus. The station is intended to solve the issue of difficulties in transportation especially during weekends and in late hours of the night incase of emergencies. Mr. Ramid the Local NUGS president disclosed the intention of the council on Friday February 7 2020 on Radio Grin's "Time with the SRC". According to Mr. Ramid the council shall register and give tags to all taxis that will be at the station also address and contacts of drivers shall be collected for easy access to them incase of emergencies and incase a student leaves his item(s) in the car, also commercial vehicles that do not have a registered tag shall not be allowed to enter campus and shall not also be board by students as it will make students feel safe and secured .
